The Nocturne Series has now been going since 2007 but this weekend was the first time we (finally!) managed to go.
This year it was organized as part of the
London Festival of Architecture, which, by the way, is happening until July 20th.

We had much fun watching architects in pinstripe suit charging around Smithfield's Market on their bikes, eating
St John's generously filled doughnuts (was too early for the Ox heart bun you see), cheering at ladies in pink tutu on their mini folding bikes and admiring the pros negotiating the very sinuous circuit at full speed.

We tried to take pictures but they were whizzing past so fast those are the best we could do!
They also had kids bike workshops but we missed those. They did look great though with plenty of fun exercises.
Our favourite buy was that
Look Mum No Hands! cap. It did attract a few smiles! If you want to get your hands on your own cap, come back next week to our online shop - we will be selling them!
If you live outside of London, don't despair,
the Nocturne Series is off to Edinburgh on July 3rd & Blackpool on August 7th. Bike fanatic or not, everyone will love these events. We certainly did.
